Choosing a texture
Printed textures give the look of a material on a smooth, practical surface; embossed and vinyl textures add real relief. Vinyl and non-woven textures are the durable choice for hallways, kitchens and family rooms; natural textures such as grasscloth suit low-traffic rooms.
Look at the scale of the texture against the size of the wall: fine linen weaves read as a solid colour from across a room, while bold plaster or stone effects become the focal point.
Measuring and ordering
Measure each wall's width and height. The calculator on a priced product's page uses that product's roll size; on the standalone roll calculator, enter the roll width, length and pattern repeat of the design you chose. Many textures have a free or random match, which means less waste than large repeating patterns.

Care
Vinyl textures can usually be wiped with a damp cloth; check the washability shown for the product. Deep reliefs collect dust, so a soft brush now and then keeps them crisp.

Does textured wallpaper hide wall imperfections?
